Tribal Rose Quilt
A few weeks ago, I shared in progress photos for a tribal-inspired quilt (see wip photos here). Well, after a rather crazy weekend recently, I finished it! I may have stayed up until 5 am to quilt. Maybe....yes.
Well, anyway, I'm excited to share the finished photos of that quilt with you, now that my muscles have recovered!
Tribal Rose, made with Michael Miller cotton couture solids, finishes at 60" x 85". It has 13 different neutral solids on the quilt top, 14 if you include the binding.
I ended up quilting it with zig-zag feathers (tutorial for zig-zag feathers here). I think it would have looked really nice with horizontal straight lines, but I didn't want to densely straight line quilt such a large project in one weekend (booooo-ring). Maybe my second version ;) Since I love a feather, I figured I'd go with something familiar.
I'm hoping to end up offering this as a 2016 block of the month pattern. Fingers crossed you'd be interested!!
