WIP: Tribal Rose
I'm fighting off the last remnants of my sickness, but have been tearing into my deadline quilt to make up for lost time. I thought I'd just share with you a little bit of my progress :)
This whole quilt is heavy hitting on the HSTs. The strip in the lower left hand corner (above photo) is a double row of anvil blocks, made completely out of HSTs and a few background colored squares.
My friend Darcie is helping me out, YAY for friends!, and I can't decide what I like more, the paper pieced rows of triangles....
...or the cross blocks.
I mean, those little details of the triangles + bars on the ends, right?? Love!
Of course the real star of the show is this star block (too cheesy? sorry...):
Totally head over heels for this block. Which is good, because it takes forever to make.
So, 1.5 star blocks left to finish, piecing all the rows together, the backing, and then basting/quilting/binding the quilt by Monday morning.
I'll keep you updated on how that goes....
