Kicks Quilt Along: Darryl Block Roundup
Hey guys! So sorry for the late post, I got sick over Easter (wahhhh). But! Everyone is cruising along with some gorgeous Darryl blocks. I showed you guys the start of mine last week, and here are the finished blocks:
I finished the charcoal one first and loved it. That Alison Glass batik print has splotches of orange in it that are to die for. Then, I switched to the white one. And....
Did NOT like it at all. I showed my husband, and this is the conversation we had:
Me: This one turned out...kinda ugly. Hubby: Well, we can't all be winners.
So true, hubby. So true. And then I took a photo, posted it to Instagram. And.....
I love it in the photo! But not really at all in person. I don't know what's happening to this block. It's just really photogenic and knows how to take a good selfie, maybe?
Ah well. I think it'll look great as a group with the other blocks, even if I'm conflicted on it currently.
Here's a refresher of my original Darryl block looked like, in my green quilt:
And now I'm let's look at a few of the blocks posted on Instagram! Check out #kicksquilt and #kicksquiltalong to see alllllll of the other Darryl blocks made so far :) Y'all are rocking these kicks so far and I'm really excited and crazy inspired!
