Stashing: Textures
I love mixing textures. Manly textures, specifically.
I mean, no surprises there, right?
I've just purchased this lovely combo of printed texture (the Doe print) + real texture (the chambray). That Carolyn can do no wrong, I tell you.
The chambray feels like a chunkier, though softer, version of Essex linen. The fibers used to make it are very thick, so the thread count is pretty low. Anything made with this fabric will get the large seam allowance/zig-zag treatment to fight raveling.
I purchased these at my awesome quilt shop Crimson Tate, and they are currently available on their website.
