Quilting Classes with 13 Spools: What do YOU want?
Hey there awesome readers, I just wanted to take a moment to say how much you all mean to me. I started this blog on a whim almost four years ago, and it has been an amazing and eye-opening experience to see just how much faith you have in me. From encouraging me while following along with my Fire & Ice quilt, to purchasing my patterns, to now supporting me through the book process - it's been wonderful.
One of my favorite things to do here on the blog is to write tutorials and to teach others. Someone I met at QuiltCon remarked that she found my blog "helpful - very helpful". Guys, that was one of the most meaningful compliments I've ever been given! I love that I can help someone else along in their quilting journey.
And now, I'm ready to take it further.
More than a pattern, or a tutorial: I would absolutely love to start offering you online classes here at 13 Spools! You'll get more detail than you would from a pattern, more involved projects than you would from a tutorial, and tons of interaction with me along the way.
I personally learned most of my quilting skills from online classes, and think they are a real bargain - all the information of a 6 week long class at a quilt shop, or a workshop, but at a fraction of the price!
So here's where I need you - just tell me what kinds of classes you want to take from me! Is there a specific technique you'd like to work on - like free motion quilting or paper piecing? Is there a specific quilt I've made and/or written a pattern for that you would like extra help with? Perhaps one of the following strikes your fancy:
20 Effective Drills to Improve your FMQing
Elements of designing Paper-Pieced Patterns
Creating Dynamic Ombre
Basic Paper Piecing
The Icy Waters Quilt

Leave a comment telling me what class you'd be interested in taking, and I'll choose 3 random commenters who can take my first class offering for free.
