Sewing progress, kids, and giveaway winner
I managed to get some daytime sewing done today! I really appreciated everyone's comments on this post. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who's useless at night! I finished cutting fabric for a new, twin sized quilt (yay!) and even started sewing on it. Crazy!
Of course, the only reason I got daytime sewing done today is that my oldest was sick and didn't go to bed until well after midnight last night. And was up several times, so his naptime was moved today. In case you don't know, I have two children - Charlie is almost two and Johnny is 8 months. They're pretty rambunctious, so having the sewing machine in the same room as them - or leaving them alone to go sew - would be dangerous!!
One day, they'll be old enough for me to sew in the room with them. That will be nice. Having relatives nearby who could babysit - that would be nice, too. Probably won't happen. So for now, until Johnny drops down to one nap at the same time as Charlie, I'm confined to nighttime sewing. And that's ok - though I'll miss my daylight!! It should only be a few more months. For now, I've taken some of your advice and bought a daylight spectrum lamp. And I'll be sure I have some background music or movie playing to keep it more enjoyable.
Can you tell we like water play and making messes? :) |
But back to sewing - I can't wait to show you some of the projects I have in the works! I have a tutorial coming up soon....with selvedges! Eeep :)
And last of all, our giveaway winner....
