Rainbow Charm Swap
Hello there :)I had a marvelous time at the Indianapolis Modern Quilt Guild's slumber party extraordinaire! It was a fantastic retreat where we played games, sewed, laughed, slept very little, and accomplished a whole lot. And check out the fabulous loot I got:
Happiness! An edition of International Quilt Festival: Quilt Scene, the book Make it Sew Modern, a Lapel stick (basically a fabric glue stick), an Aurifil sample pack, and a Spoonflower fabric swatch card.
I also got a lot done on my courthouse steps quilt - I hurried to finish all the blocks before arriving, and even started on the sashing, just to make sure I could start quilting it before I left on Saturday afternoon. All sashed, bordered, basted, and quilting has begun! But since it's nighttime, I will not be able to get good pictures of that...so later! Maybe I'll just wait until it's finished to show you anyway :)
Lastly, I wanted to share that I just joined a flickr fabric swap group and want to invite you all to join as well. It's a rainbow charm swap, so basically you buy two pieces of fabric in your assigned color, chop them up and send them away, and you will end up receiving charms across the entire color spectrum of the rainbow in return. Sounds amazing, right? Especially since your two pieces of fabric are only one yard each - talk about awesome! You can find all of the info here. Hope to see you join!!
